Another Fantastic Pop-out Card

As Sale-a-bration comes to an end (say it ain't so!) on Wednesday, we revisit the possibilities of Paper Pumpkin's power, especially during Sale-a-bration. Sale-a-bration is the absolute most perfect time to purchase a pre-paid Paper Pumpkin subscription because a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription would be enough of a purchase to get you SAB items. In addition, purchasing a 6- or 12-month subscription will get you a discount on those kits Check out this chart, which spells everything out for you pretty well:

As you can see in the chart above, you purchase a 3-month subscription for $67.50 (plus shipping and tax). This gives you enough to get a free Sale-a-bration item. Purchasing a 6-month subscription allows you to receive TWO $50 Sale-a-bration (SAB) items or ONE $100 SAB item. A one year subscription allows you to choose, well, a lot of free SAB items! Wow! You can order your pre-paid subscription - and take advantage of Sale-a-bration - here.

The August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit has gorgeous pieces, and it makes gorgeous things.

As always, I enjoyed creating an alternate project using kit supplies and a few other pieces of paper and some accessories and had a Zoom party with some of my subscribers, and typically it's a fun fold card. Lately, different forms of pop-up cards have caught my eye, and this month's Paper Pumpkin alternate is no different. And, of course, the fun fold can easily be duplicatable with other products.

For my alternate project I used these products from the kit.

For the inside of the card, I cut and scored a piece of Basic White cardstock for the pop-up mechanism. Here's how I did it.

Then I folded the piece accordion style, took apart the envelope, and cut it apart into 1 7/8" sections to use for layers. After cutting one of the Paper Pumpkin card bases apart to get two pieces 4" x 5 1/4", I adhered one piece to the outside of the card and the other to the inside left of the card. Then I adhered the two ends of the accordion to the inside the card, as shown, adding a sentiment and a couple of bees from the kit.

The outside of the card features some more of the items from the Paper Pumpkin kit, with the addition of some Evening Evergreen cardstock for the leaves, some gold cord, and gold sequins.

Find links to these items in my online store by clicking the photos below.

Better with a visual? You can watch me put this card together:

I love how you can use this fun fold in any card you make. Design the front of the card as normal, then add the mechanism to the inside. Quick as a whistle...and don't hesitate to enjoy this fun fold with lots of different products!

Happy stamping!

Amy
