This is seriously one of the simplest fun fold cards out there, and the 2-4-6-8 card that I made Wednesday during What's Up! Stampers introduces some new Online Exclusive products that you're going to want to grab on November 5!
I think my favorite thing about this card is the clever use of the absolutely fantastic Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper. I started with a piece of 12" x 5 1/4" piece of the paper, then scored it - you guessed it! - at 2", 4", 6", and 8."
The folds in the Designer Series Paper are folded accordion style, leaving the 4" section on the right side. This will serve as the inside of the card. Check out how cute this ends up!
How did I take the accordion and turn it into what you now see above? ⬆️ I simply adhered the backs of sections A and B together, then the backs of sections C and D together. This created the two flaps as shown in the photos. I then used the beautiful Hearts of Elegance Bundle to add the sentiment, hearts, and flower, finishing it off with a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" to write the message on the inside of the card. I'm really really loving these new products!
Oh, and don't forget the new gold paper! It will be sold in a pack with silver. It's got some beautiful texture and the pack is called Brushed Silver & Gold Foil. It will also be in the new Online Exclusives release on Tuesday.
I need to stock up on this, I think, because I'm in love! I used it to cut the detailed heart and backed the folded Designer Series Paper a piece of it that is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2." I debated on whether or not to use that big of a piece of the gold, but I couldn't imagine any other cardstock color there instead. The gold just sets off the Designer Series Paper perfectly.
