A Coffee and Chocolate Bag

Have a mentioned lately how much I love paper and what you can do with it? If I haven't mentioned it lately, then I'm long overdue. I love what we can make with paper!!!!

As I'm preparing for an upcoming craft show, I've been having fun researching unique gift ideas I can make with paper and came across a project from Buckeye Inklings (watch her video here.) that is so adorable and pretty simple to put together. It's a cute little bag made with a piece of cardstock for the base, and a piece of Designer Series Paper for the body of the bag.

So let me tell you a little story about how this Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP) became the DSP of choice for this project. I wanted to use the More Than Autumn Bundle for my project during my What's Up! Stampers live event on Facebook Wednesday, and I didn't want to make a card, as I typically do.

I knew I wanted to do some sort of Pumpkin Spice project, and the only Designer Series Paper I was satisfied to use for a pumpkin themed project was this one...and I pulled the color combo from I'm not sure where, but it ended up working.

I started the project with a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock measuring 4" x 2 1/2", and I scored it at 1/2" on all four sides. Cutting a small slit on a score line in each corner allowed me to make a little tray.

The little purse started really coming together when I added a 10" x 1 1/2" piece of the DSP around the sides of the box, adhering it with Tear & Tape.

Adding two 3/8" x 4" strips of Petal Pink cardstock for the handles of the bag, then finishing it with a 1/2" x 10" strip of Petal Pink cardstock all the way around the top edge.

But the color combination all came together when I put the little bag in a cellophane bag with a latte K-cup (I'll be putting a pumpkin spice latte K-cup in the bag instead, but I didn't have those at the time of this blog post) and chocolate truffle inside the bag and added the tag.

The tag uses a tag shape cut from the Greetings of the Season Dies, and the More Than Autumn Bundle does the rest. I colored the cup using Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends, and the little pumpkins using just the Pumpkin Pie ones. It's truly the perfect gift for someone special.

You can find a list of supplies I used - along with links to my online store - by scrolling to the bottom of this post. You can watch me make this little bag by clicking here.

Happy 3D-ing! 😆

Amy
