A Flower-topped Square Card

Long time no chat! It's been since Christmas when I blogged last, but it's time to get back to the swing of things. You can expect that I will once again attempt to blog 3 days a week. In my world, that means Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. In your world, it could possibly mean Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, if you're not a night owl. Regardless, Sale-a-bration and a new Mini Catalog are the perfect reasons to start up again, and this card is well worth the wait!

The simplicity of the card and the natural shading of the roses work together to create a stunning thank you card, that could just as well be converted into a sympathy, wedding, or get well card. It has many possibilities - you get the idea.

The card base is made with a piece of 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" Pool Party cardstock. After folding it in half, it becomes square! I layered a piece of 4" x 4" Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, which can, incidentally, be chosen free with a $50 order now through February 29.

I think the color combination is gorgeous! Pebbled Path, Pool Party, and Soft Sea Foam. So pretty!

But the real star of this show are the roses, stamped using the Stippled Roses Bundle and Pebbled Path ink. I colored the flowers using small Blending Brushes. The flowers are Pool Party color, just like the Designer Series Paper backdrop. The leaves are colored using Soft Seafoam ink. And isn't it cool that the flowers have a die that perfectly cuts out the image? The Stippled Roses Bundle can be purchased for $54 US, which qualifies you for a free Sale-a-bration item. Why not choose the Designer Series Paper for free?? Speaking of free, the gems on the card can also be chosen for free when you place a $50 order!

You can watch What's Up! Stampers, when I put this card together here. You can also see a list of the supplies I used to create the card - along with links to my online store - below.

It's good to be back! Happy stamping!

Amy
