A Wild Birthday

It's so hard to believe that then end of our two current catalogs - the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and the January-June Mini Catalog - is right around the corner. There are so many amazing products that are either already gone or will not longer be available as of Tuesday night.

I don't have any young children any more, but I do have children in my life. I was immediately drawn to the Bonanza Buddies Bundle when I saw it last fall, and it was among the first things I purchased from that January-June Mini Catalog. I'm so sad it's retiring, but I've made some super fun things with it while it's been on my "current products" shelf. And the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper is ADORABLE! I may or may not have stocked up on that so I can continue to make fun kids' birthday cards even after the stamp set and dies are retired and gone from my shelves. (Out with the old, in with the new, you know!)

This first card has a panel on either side of it that are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The left-hand Grapefruit Grove panel is 1" x 5 1/4". The right panel is 1 1/2" x 5 1/4". Both are edged with a piece of Whisper White on the back of it to give it a border. The Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper recessed in the middle is cut 2" x 5 1/4". The banner is Whisper White cut 1/2" x 3", and the toucan is stamped and cut with the bundle shown above. Really easier than it looks, which is how we like it, right?

The second card so sweet - a Peek-a-boo Tent Fold Card that again, is easier than it looks! Start by cutting a piece of card stock for your base 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score in half (4 1/4") both directions. Cut along the score line on the bottom, up to the next score line. The top squares are scored diagonally from the top middle down to the score line on the outside edges. Fold the diagonal score lines back and the other ones in. Make sure the score lines are creased well. Decorate! To make the card stand up, layer the bottom right square over the bottom left. Voila!
