Earworms and Stamping classes

Have you ever heard of an earworm? An earworm is a catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a person's mind after it is no longer playing. That recently happened to me. I don't even know if I actually heard Let's Hear It for the Boy last week or not, but it was stuck in my head and wouldn't leave. This is an iconic song from the original 1984 movie Footloose, when Ren was teaching Willard how to dance.

So as I'm singing this song in my head for what seemed like hours, all of a sudden it dawned on me that it would be a fun name for a class. Let's Hear It for the Boy...a class full of guy cards. Yes! I immediately fell in love with the idea, and since up until that point I hadn't decided exactly what to do for classes this winter, this was an easy decision.

Let's Hear It for the Boy: 10 for $20

We will make 10 GUY CARDS, 2 each of 5 designs. I provide all materials except sentiments you'd like to add to your card. I will have a Zoom meeting to assemble the cards together, but if you can't make it or would prefer to do them on your own, I'll record the Zoom video and share it with you. Registration for this class is due Wednesday, December 30. Cost for all materials is $20. Add $8 to have supplies shipped. Class fee can be paid via Paypal, Venmo, by check through the mail, or call with your credit card number.

I'm really excited for this class and have the samples ready to go! You can sign up by heading to my business website or my Facebook Events page. Thanks to my fellow demonstrators Brenda Cardinal, Mikaela Titherage, Cindy Elam, Tammy King, and an unknown demonstrator for their amazing cards that I either am using from a recent swap or modified from their card that I saw online. Fantastically masculine! Remember - you provide the sentiments and regular and/or liquid adhesive. I will provide the rest.

Because I hold many of the same classes from one month to the next for a certain period of time (in this case, Janaury, February, and March), I knew I had to have a song for February and March 10 for $20 classes, too. For February, I wanted to do a Get Well and Sympathy class (although knowing that you provide your own sentiments it can be whatever kind of card you want it to be). I found myself searching the internet for a good song title for that class, too, and came up with "Everyone Hurts" by R.E.M. from 1992. So "Everybody Hurts...Sometimes" is the name of my February 10 for $20 class.

Moving to March, I wanted to look forward to the flowers that will come in Spring, so I searched for a flower song and landed on Peter, Paul and Mary's "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" This 10 for $20 class in March will focus on cards with lots of flowers.

I love getting creative with my class names, so this was fun! Now that you know the background for the names of my classes, you can better understand what you're signing up for. These will all be virtual classes, and just remember that you do NOT have to attend the Zoom class live. You can wait for the YouTube link to the class, which is only given to those who paid for the class.

Stamping blessings to you!

Amy
