Getting Reflective

I 100% know that I've said something like this before, and it's as true today as it is then: Sometimes I look through a new catalog, and there's a product I immediately know I need. That happened with this new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, and one of those products is the Quiet Reflection stamp set. It's a distINKtive stamp set, which is described by Stampin' Up! like this:

Get photo-realistic style images with Distinktive stamps, available only from Stampin’ Up! Distinktive stamps have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step. They’re available in red rubber and photopolymer; look for the Distinktive icon. Distinktive patent pending.

I am completely in love with the imagery in this stamp set because it's so unique, but the sentiments turned this stamp set into a must have. I love that there's a sentiment even for the loss of a pet. Very unique.

On Wednesday during What's Up! Stampers, I created this beautiful card using this Quiet Reflection stamp set.

Using two colors on the stamp was quite easy. First, I inked the top half of the stamp with Mossy Meadow ink. (Note that I was using an embossing folder as a clear block since none of my clear blocks seemed to be handy at the moment. 🤣)

On the bottom portion of the stamp, I wanted to apply Misty Moonlight ink. However, when I tried to apply the ink directly from the ink pad, it was too inky to get the beautiful detail on the stamp. I opted, then, to apply the ink using a Sponge Dauber so that I could control more easily the amount of ink that was put onto the stamp.

I laid my Nested Essentials Die cut-out onto the stamp, and look at the beautiful image that remained!

Believe it or not, I decided the "back" of some of the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper would be perfect to help finish off the card, so that's what I used as my background. Here are my paper sizes, for quick reference...

Thick Very Vanilla cardstock:

-5 1/2" x 7 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Very Vanilla cardstock:

-second largest Nested Essentials Dies

-5 1/4" x 1 1/4"

Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper:

-5 1/4" x 3"

-5 1/4" x 1"

Who knew something so simple could be so beautiful? And the sentiments just put anything made with the stamp set over the top! You can watch me make this card here. Use the pic of the stamp set in the supply list below to link to the stamp set in my online store. When you order there using my host code (see current host code here), I'll send you 2 card tutorials that use that stamp set! Offer ends April 30!

Happy creative!

Amy

I definitely am obsessed by the sentiments too; have not seen these anywhere else as it so often is the case.
