In Color Candles for your Birthday

Oh, how I love thee, let me count the ways...

This is how I feel about the new 2022-2024 In Colors.I think I always feel that way about new colors, but I can't help it! I just plain love color! This year's new In Colors, Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, Starry Sky, Sweet Sorbet, and Tahitian Tide, are bright, cheery, and fabulous.

They are so fabulous, in fact, that I haven't been able to make a single card recently without at least one of the In Colors. And if I'm being completely truthful, I'm having trouble making a card without ALL of the new In Colors. I love that they aren't just fabulous on their own, but they all go so well together!

This particular card's design is one I got from Demonstrator Kathy Wilkens. In her original sample, she used all wood-grain papers, but when I changed it up for use with the In Colors, a serious WOW happened. And I'm proud to say every last 2022-2024 In Color was used. :)

Ever Tuesday I do a Facebook Live with my team. It's usually a lot of information, schedule of events, business, and occasionally I'll stamp a project for the live onscreen, too. This past week I made this one, and it's ALL the In Colors again.

I thought the Sending Smiles Bundle was the perfect way to showcase the In Colors, don't you think? A little stamping, a little paper piecing using the Sending Dies, and the 2022-2024 In Coloor Matte Dots for good measure. I loved this card when I made it, and I've loved it even more with each passing day that I get to look at it. :D I love it so much, that I wrote a tutorial for this card, and it is FREE to you! And finally, this past week during What's Up! Stampers? I made this card:

Gosh, these In Colors! I added a little So Saffron cardstock and ink to complete the background of these sweet little candles. And did you realize the Gentle Waves background stamp from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog makes for a fun frosting design on the card "cake?" In all, I used three stamp sets from the JJ22 Mini Catalog for this card: Gentle Waves, of course, the host stamp set Expressions of Friendship for the "Happy Birthday," and Sweet Conversations for the heart flames on the candles. Perfection!

Here are the cutting instructions to help you put together this pretty cute card.

So Saffron cardstock:

-5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Basic White cardstock:

-label from Natural Prints Dies

Parakeet Party, Starry Sky, and Tahitian Tide Designer Series Paper:

-1/2" x 3 1/4"

Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper:

-3/4" x 2 3/4"

For a list of supplies I used on the card (and links to my online store), see below.

Stamping blessings!

Amy
