Slim Sayings Bundle - FREE tutorial!

Oh, boy! It seems as though every time I agree to demonstrate a product at an event, I fall completely in love. In the last couple of weeks, I've found out that the Slim Sayings Bundle is no different. I'm in love!

The sentiments are fantastic. But...I'm particularly fond of the dies. There are so many possibilities! You can cut out the long dies and use them as masks to create fantastic imagery on a project using just the mask, ink, and Blending Brushes.

The full dies work beautifully on a card that measures 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". This means you should start with a piece of cardstock that measures 7" x 8 1/2" and fold it in half. Use the dies on the card like these:

But who says you have to use the entire length of the dies? Make regular-sized (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") cards with them, trimming off from the dies what your cards won't use...like the ones below.

Use the dies to create a fun border on a scrapbook page, too! Getting ready for the high school graduation of this little sweetie. :)

Oh, and sometimes you don't even need to use those large, fancy dies. How about just the edge dies? Get creative with those, too!

I'm telling you...this bundle is easy to fall in love with. Playing with it made me happy. As much as I love all of the samples I've shared so far, this one takes the cake.

On this card, I used the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper, which gives the entire card an elegant look. But that Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper? Just get out of here! It's fantastic! I used the Slim Card Dies to cut a strip from the Mother of Pearl paper, then cut it to fit the length of the card.

Measurements

Smoky Slate cardstock:

-5 1/4" x 5 1/2" (score at 4 1/4", so that when you fold it, it becomes a "regular" card size at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2")

-Medium die from the Hippo & Friends Dies

Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper:

-4" x 5 1/4"

Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper:

-1 1/4" x 5 3/4" (for the strip on the side)

-Large die from the Hippo & Friends Dies

Because I love sharing, please accept this thorough tutorial as my gift to you, just for reading this blog post:
