The 12 Projects of Christmas 2022: Project #1

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

It's that time of year again - time to celebrate Christmas with 12 amazing Christmas projects, ranging from cards to memory keeping to gift items. I have some really fun things planned for you over the next few weeks, starting with a gorgeous fun-fold card that has a little surprise. This Peek-a-boo Slider card really isn't difficult, but it sure is cool.

The three main pieces of cardstock that make up this super cool card are as follows:

Basic Black cardstock:

-Back panel 5 3/4" x 4 1/4", score at 5 1/2"

-Front panel 8 1/4" x 4 1/4", score at 5 1/2"

Very Vanilla cardstock:

-Inside 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4"

I have made several of these now, and putting those three pieces together and getting the hole through each layer in the same place is the biggest part. Once that is done, the rest is gravy.

Mmmmm....gravy.

But I digress. I love the suite I used on this card - the Lights Aglow Suite Collection. Here's how Stampin' Up!® describes the collection in my online store:

"Bring the magic of twinkling Christmas lights to all your seasonal papercrafts with the Lights Aglow Suite Collection. It includes all the coordinating pieces you need to make your handmade greeting cards and gift tags shimmer and shine! Why settle for so-so Christmas cards when you can use this suite make them sparkle instead?"

Sadly, the Festive Pearls are currently out of stock, so you are unable to order the entire suite with one quick order number. However, everything else is available and waiting for you to create beautiful projects! When you scroll down all the way to bottom of this post, you'll be able to click each item to take you directly to it in my online store.

Don't you just love how the black, Very Vanilla, gold make this card look so elegant? The star of the card is, of course, the contraption that creates the peek-a-boo. However, I think the gold glimmer tree cut from the Glimmer Specialty Paper is a close second.

The sure-fire way to know how to put this card together is by watching me do it. Make sure to subscribe to my channel on YouTube so you will be notified each time a new video posts - especially for these 12 Projects of Christmas!

Merry Christmas and happy 12 Projects of Christmas! Make sure to check back Sunday, October 23 for the next one!
