I think we paper crafters do cards really really well, but sometimes paper crafting comes in other forms. One of my favorite paper crafting things to make are gift items. packaging that holds candy is always one of my favorites, but a bottle tag dresses up a bottle of your favorite beverage and is perfectly quick, and even fun, to make.
Four bottle tags can be made out of a sheet of cardstock. You can cut and score the sheet of cardstock as shown in the pic below to get all four.
For Project #10 of the 12 Projects of Christmas, I decided I'd make a minty, glimmery, eye-catching tag.
Because I decided to make this tag for a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps, the candy canes on the tag are perfect, but yet can be easily tweaked for another Designer Series Paper, if you wish (DSP) instead. The size of the DSP is 2 1/2" x 4 1/4."
The other details of the front of the tag are as follows:
Stamp and punch out the frame using the Handmade Wishes Bundle.
Add the "Merry Christmas" and a heart in Real Red ink.
Cut a strip of the Real Red Glimmer Paper 1" x 4" and banner cut one end of it with the Banners Pick A Punch
Cut an Iridescent Snowflake in half, and adhere each half over the Real Red Glimmer banner, separating it about 1 1/4"
Pop the label off of the snowflakes using Stampin' Dimensionals
Add a piece of Iridescent Trim around the tag
Cut a ring out of the White Glimmer paper using two of the Layering Circles Dies and adhere around the circle of the tag (second smallest circle, third smallest scalloped circle)
Slip the tag over a bottle of the good stuff - in this case Peppermint Schnapps (make sure the bottle is full!) ;)
Watch here as I make this tag and share tips about the products I used:
