The 12 Projects of Christmas 2022: Project #6

The first 5 in the 12 Projects of Christmas 2022 have been cards, but with #6 that changes. For this project, we make a simple piece of framed art.

For this framed art piece, I bring out a product that I've been using a lot as of late: the Santa Express Memories & More Card Pack.

Here are the cards I used from the pack to create my piece of framed art.

Add those to some cardstock and Santa Express Designer Series Paper, and you've got yourself a really sweet piece to put on the mantle.

The base is a piece of the Designer Series Paper, measuring 10" x 8", so it would fit perfectly in the frame. The piece in the upper left corner includes the card from the Card Pack layered on a piece of Basic White cardstock that measures 6 1/8" x 4 1/8".

For the trees in the upper right, I took a 6" x 4" Memories & More Card and cut in half so it is 3" x 4", then layered it on a piece of Petal Pink cardstock 3 1/8" x 4 1/8".

The bottom left snowy landscape is a piece of the Designer Series Paper that is cut at 3" x 3", layered on Petal Pink 3 1/8" x 3 1/8".

The bottom center piece is unique. It starts with a snowflake window sheet from the Memories & More Card Pack that I cut to 3" x 4", layered on Petal Pink 3 1/8" x 4 1/8".

Finally, the 1 3/4" x 3 1/8" piece of Basic White cardstock is embossed with one of the Charming Landscapes Embossing Folders, making it a simply sweet addition to the framed art. I added a scallop border from the Card Pack sticker sheet to set it off and make it extra cute. :)

I accessorized the piece using wood elements from the Memories & More Card Pack, which I colored using ink pads. "Winter Wonderland" was colored by pressing it into the Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad, and "snow" and the snowflakes into the White Craft Pad (note that these need time to dry, or use a heat tool to dry them more quickly).

Add the piece to a beautiful frame, and you've got yourself a goodie for the mantle.

Watch here as I make the project:

I sincerely hope you're enjoying the 12 Projects of Christmas 2022. We are halfway there, and you're going to love what's coming! Tune in Friday for Project #7.

Happy Christmas-time!

Amy
