The 12 Projects of Christmas 2024: Project #5

Updated: Nov 4

Our first non-card project of Christmas 2024 is awesome simply because it gives space to both chocolate and a gift card.šŸ˜ Both are equally good gifts, don't you think? And when you have a gift card to give and don't just want to give a gift card, this is the perfect alternative giving option. Add chocolate for the perfect gift!

To create the base of the box, I started with a piece of Real Red cardstock measuring 7" x 9 3/4". I scored and cut that piece as shown.

I used three pieces of the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper to add some flair to the sweet chocolate/gift card holder before putting the box-card together. Those Designer Series Papers measure as follows:

-Two pieces 4 7/8" x 7/8"

-4 7/8" x 2 3/8"

Folding all those sections on the right side of the diagram above helps to make the box, and folding the sections on the left makes a little pocket for the gift card. I cut a gift card holder grab spot with a partial circle punch and decorated the gift card holder section with the larger piece of Designer Series Paper, a sentiment banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies, and the holly and berries from the Reindeer Fun Dies. didn't it turn out cute?

Let's not breeze past the window in the front which serves as a little peek-a-boo to the chocolate inside. I love that! I cut it using the longest and skinniest die from the Wonderful Thoughts Dies. I cut that little section twice with that die to get a wider opening.

Once you have the cutting and scoring done, assembly is a breeze (you can decorate before or after assembly, too! Watch the assembly process here:

You can also see below the list of products I used to create the box-card. Each item is linked to my online store for easy access!

Happy Christmas!

Amy
