Wednesday's What's Up! Stampers? may have been - or felt like to me - a little chaotic. With the Color Refresh information being announced to demonstrators in a live event at 1pm Central, I was hurried and didn't get the opportunity to complete the box the way I wanted it. The excitement for what colors are retiring with this catalog and the new and returning colors that would join our color families was a serious focus of my brain (and I LOVE the results of that Color Refresh reveal! Head to a special Wednesday blog post for all the info), but the box we made was still so fun...and easy enough to still put a few together before Easter...or anytime!
Starting with Polished Pink cardstock, measuring 8" x 4 1/4", I scored it as shown in the diagram below then trimmed out a few sections before putting the box together.
To make it a little easier, I cut out the side panels first, before using my trimmer to cut 1" off the right hand flap. The creates a shorter tab that then tucks behind the punches I used to create the focal point on the front of the box. When adhering the punches to the front of the box, just make sure you use Stampin' Dimensionals and only at the bottom of the punch. No adhesive is needed to close it, then!
I had wanted to add my white sentiment label on the front of the box, but space was just too tight. I opted to finish the box by stamping the sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Polished Pink cardstock and add it to the back of the box with Stampin' Dimensionals. Perfect!
You can watch as I create the box here, and you can see the supplies I used for the box by scrolling to the bottom of this post.
Happy creating!
Amy
