Wordy Stems

With new Online Exclusive products now available, my mind quickly started racing with all the fun I could have with those products. Ideas started flowing the first time I saw the new release, especially in the shower. 😂 I get my best ideas in there.

But this idea didn't need the shower. It just popped in my head the second I placed the order for the Sweetly Scripted stamp set and the Simply Zinnia Bundle.

So what's the amazing idea I had? It was to use one of the Sweetly Scripted sentiments as a stem for the single zinnia flower in the stamp set. It turned out pretty sweet.

What do you think? If you received this card when you're sick, would it put a smile on your face?

I'd also like to point out the background on this card. If you look closely, you'll notice that on the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White, I used the new Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder. it makes the perfect backdrop for the Petal Pink polka dot Designer Series Paper that comes from the Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper, which I cut using the Nested Essentials Dies.

Now let's take a closer look at the flower head and leaves.

Aren't they just stunning? Stampin’ Blends don’t need to be used with just the mate they’re sold with (for example, Light Flirty Flamingo with Dark Flirty Flamingo), but they can be used on the same image with other colors, too, to deepen the shading. For this card I used the following Stampin’ Blends on the flower:

Dark Petal Pink

Light Flirty Flamingo

Dark Flirty Flamingo

Light BlackBerry Bliss

I used the Light and Dark of both Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the leaves.

If you want to see how I did that, you can watch Wednseday's What's Up! Stampers video. It's on Facebook, but keep in mind you don't have to be on Facebook to watch. Just follow this link:

Aren't these new products fun? You can click each photo at the bottom of this blog post to get direct links to the products. I've listed below every product found on this card.

Happy stamping!

Amy
